As discussed berore. (Max!) Sorry, can't help with the other problem. Uninstalling and reinstaling the product fixes a lot of things, but you loose your gworkgroup memberships. If you made changes in your workflow, try "Update Security Settings" from ZMI->portal_workflow. Good luck.
