Groups

Hello

I seem now to have things working as they should but I would very much like to have this feature.

I have set up a group of 26 students that have access to a top group folder. Students in this group can get access to group data.

Below this main group I would like to setup 5 other smaller groups of members of the top group so that each group of 5 can access only their groups data (and save etc).

Unfortunately the top group is always the group that has access - not just the 5 members of each smaller group.

Is there a way to give only members of the smaller group access to their folder rather than the whole group.

Thanks for any help

Peter

I believe the problem you will find here is that the permissions set at the top level group will automatically be inherited to the sub-group that you create. I don't think there is a way to stop this, or to deny access to those already assigned access permissions at the top level. It is the way that Plone works in general.
