How can I exclude the contacts from the navigation portlet. I have modified the view so that by clicking on a particular org will display all the contacts for that organization. However, it will also listed all of them in the navigation portlet as well. This created a problem since I have hundreds of contacts in any single org.

To exclude the mxmContacts content items from the site Navigation Trees do the following. In the ZMI, go to /portal_properties/navtree_properties In the parentMetaTypesNotToQuery add a line item "mxmContacts"

The mxmContacts container will still show up in the Nav, but the content items will not be show in the Nav trees. I think in most cases this is probably what makes sense once you get more than a small number of contacts.
