Big technical systems have an outer appearance of normality
and efficiency. White lab coats and blinking lights.
But many would find it to be the work of a mad scientist, if they
knew what goes on behind the blinking lights in the server room.
And they are right! |
We in the mad science community do not make a big deal out of this.
But it is a fact. Most IT systems are kept running by mad scientists using
gaffer tape, shoestrings, and bit of ingenuity. That's the way we like
it.
Why do we do it then?
Well because science and technology are fun. We can use it to mold the
world in our image.

That they want to remove all the world's governments and put a technocratic
rule in place.
